Where everyday life drops away and nostalgia takes root. Lakeland Flower Festival spans 35 acres of jaw-dropping color — a bucket list stop you’ll return to, year after year.

Fondly known as the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, the flowers don’t stop there. Lakeland Flowers unfolds across six months, rolling from tulips to peonies,  lavender to meadows, marigolds to sunflowers—the season stretches all summer long. With each bloom shifting the landscape, every visit offers something new.

Spring / Summer '24

With Lakeland’s brand refresh on the horizon, the goal was to bring its spirit to life — movement, color; the feeling of stepping into something bigger than what your eyes can take in. We set out to capture the kind of carefree energy that stays with you long after. Tight on the people, wide on the views. Catching the playful, unscripted moments of a close-knit group of friends.

Big laughs, big feelings, and that unmistakable warmth of a core memory in the making.

Captured over 5 months, the flowers weren’t just a backdrop—they shaped each shoot. Tulips felt lively and fresh, like the start of something new. Marigolds leaned into a dreamlike state, a moment you never want to end. And sunflowers? Pure gold, like the final act of summer. Every bloom changed the energy, shifting the way we moved, shot, and directed.

field notes

The final act of a day well spent—when the sun is dipping, the air is warm, and you already know you’ll want to do it all again next year. Shoes a little dusty, heart a little fuller, carrying the kind of memories that only get richer with time.
